Malév and Etihad sign a codeshare deal

Air travelers with the national airlines of Hungary and the United Arab Emirates will soon be able to transition between the two airlines much more easily thanks to a codeshare agreement recently signed.  Malév Hungarian Airlines will place its codeshare symbol (MA) on Etihad Airways flights between Etihad’s main hub at Dubai International Airport (IATA: DXB; ICAO: OMDB) and the European cities of Athens, Brussels, Frankfurt, Milan, and Paris.  Additionally, Etihad will place its codeshare symbol (EY) on Malév Hungarian Airlines flights between Malév’s main hub at Budapest-Ferihegy International Airport (IATA: BUD; ICAO: LHBP) and those same five cities.  The deal takes effect this coming September.
